This fine specimen was originally published in a children's book called “ZigZag Journeys in Australia” in 1891 and was titled “A Devil-fish of the Indian Ocean.”  Nowadays we know that octopuses aren’t satanic, people back then were probably just jealous of all those legs and an emotional sensitivity that they couldn’t understand.
